Who are we and what do we do?

Welcome to your PTA! Every single parent, carer and teacher at Kingsmoor is automatically a member of our Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

The PTA is an open community of parent volunteers who work alongside the school and teachers to benefit the school and ensure the best educational experience for all Kingsmoor’s pupils.

We do this by raising money through charity activities and events such school discos, raffles, our Summer Festival and by applying for grants such as Tesco Bags of Help.

Our PTA is one of nearly 14,000 members of Parentkind. Being a member provides us with advice and support, ensuring:

  • we run our PTA well according to good practice
  • our events are properly insured, legal and safe

New PTA Website

We are now able to take online payments for all future events.  From now on, you must be registered on our website to purchase any tickets, products or second hand uniform we sell.

PTA Events

Once registered, an admin will approve you and you will be able to log in and sign up for the relevant class mailing lists for your child/children.  Please note:  When you ask to join a mailing list there is no password, so please leave this box blank.

Committee Members

Every summer we hold an AGM where the committee is elected. The committee is made up entirely of parent volunteers and their role is to manage the association on behalf of the members.

There are two types of committee member, Officer and Ordinary (or Other) member. Officers have specific roles such as Chair, Treasurer or Secretary. Ordinary Committee Members play a vital role working alongside and supporting the Officers. All committee members have equal voting rights, with the exception of the Chair, who has an additional casting vote, should this be needed.

As we are a registered charity all elected committee members are Trustees of the charity and have a legal duty to ensure the association acts lawfully and is managed properly.
